Pay and conditions talks between health unions and the government will continue into next week as progress is being made, it was announced today.
The talks, which began on Tuesday, have been constructive according to union leaders. A government spokesperson also confirmed that good progress has been made but more time is needed to reach an agreement. “These talks are ongoing and are not delay tactics,” said a spokesperson for GMB National.
The talks are due to resume on Monday and all parties remain hopeful that a settlement can be reached within the coming weeks.
