You are being asked for your view on what GMB’s claim for NHS pay should be.

At a meeting on 15 January, GMB’s joint NHS and Ambulance Committees agreed to submit a pay claim for 2024/25 that demands a percentage increase.

Your reps decided that GMB should seek real progress towards pay restoration, after 14 years of cuts compared to the cost of living.

In real terms, a long-serving Band 2 worker’s pay has been cut by 24% since 2010, and a long-serving Band 6 worker’s pay has been cut by 29%

Inflation is still high. The RPI rate is currently 5.2%, and inflation is expected to rise by 5.1% this year.

All responses will be taken into account as we prepare our claim and campaign for the best possible increase on behalf of our members.

This survey will close at 9am on Monday 22nd January 2024, so have your say on your pay today.
