Last week we shared GMB EMAS’s concerns about the Trust’s recent changes to the meal break deployment policy, which were leading to staff being allocated breaks far too early in their shifts.
We’re pleased to confirm that following discussions with senior management, EMAS has agreed to revert to the previous meal break system. They’ve also committed to working with unions to develop a fairer, more staff-friendly approach moving forward.
GMB EMAS made it clear that the new process was not working for staff, and your feedback played a vital role in challenging the changes. We will continue to represent you and push back on decisions that impact working conditions.
