Thank you for all those who participated in our survey regarding meal break lengths in Lincolnshire.

We now have the results of that survey:

Almost 93% of voters are against the change from a 30-minute to a 45-minute meal break (for a 12-hour shift).

This is an emphatic response from our members.

We have therefore written to the CEO requesting the changes to meal break length for Lincolnshire A&E Operations and EOC are revoked, leaving the previous arrangements in place. Of course, as soon as we know the answer, we will advise our members, including details of ‘what will happen next’.

We are aware that the meal break length issue in Lincs/EOC is not the only concern our members have regarding the rota consultation and would like to assure you that work and preparations are being made to further tackle these issues.
