Last Chance to Vote – Ballot Closes Wednesday

Published 20th March 2026 by GMB EMAS

Your ballot closes thisĀ Wednesday 25th March. If you haven’t returned your paper yet, please do it today.

Your orange envelope should already be with you. If you haven’t seen it, check if it’s been left with a neighbour, in a communal area.

Every vote counts. A strong turnout strengthens our hand at the negotiating table, whatever the result.

Don’t delay – get your vote in before Wednesday 25th March.

A reminder of where we are:

Following a large number of member responses to the rota consultation, we met with the CEO and Director of Operations on 12th March. As a direct result of your feedback, rotas where there is no clear agreement have been paused until July 2026 to allow a proper resolution to be reached.

That happened because of you.

The trust claimed 85% agreement. Your data told a very different story – and senior GMB officials presented evidence they could not ignore.

The ballot is still live and negotiations are ongoing. Returning your vote keeps the pressure on and keeps our options open.

Vote for Industrial Action if:

  • You are unhappy with the reduction in FRV, or
  • You are unhappy with the rota principles, or
  • You are unhappy with the new rota, or
  • You want a 12 month pause to allow proper agreement to be reached

You can also vote for Industrial Action simply to stand alongside colleagues who are unhappy – solidarity matters.

Vote against Industrial Action if:

  • You are happy with the new rota and none of the above apply

Whatever you decide – please vote. A low turnout helps no one.

Ballot closes: Wednesday 25th March 2026
